Pick a themed pack and a card set. Everyone builds a different model from that set. 2–4 players, human or computer.
How to play
All players use cards from the same card set, and each player gets a different model. Together the 4 models in a set make up the whole Brickyard.
Besides the original game, the themed packs (Space, Dinosaurs, Cars, Knights, ...) are real small LEGO sets in 3D. Their color spaces use that set's most common brick colors, and sets with big models give out more pieces on each Pick space.
Building (3D packs): pieces you collect wait in the tray under your model. Tap one any time, even on someone else's turn, and it snaps into place. Drag the model to spin it. The first player to finish building their model wins, so start building early!
If someone takes a piece you have already built and you have no spare, it comes off your model.
Head start: models in a card set aren't all the same size, so players with bigger (or harder) models start with some of their pieces already in the tray. Everyone then has about the same amount left to collect. This only happens once, at the start: pieces taken from you later are not replaced.
3D packs: the plain "Pick Brick" spaces become "Pick Piece" spaces, so you can take any piece you need there, special pieces included.
Roll the die and move clockwise. Follow the directions on the space.
Pick 1 (color) Brick: take one regular brick of that color from the Brickyard.
Pick 1 Brick: take any one regular brick. Colors without their own space (like gray or black) can only come from here or from another player.
Pick 2 Bricks: take two regular bricks of any color.
Pick 1 Special Piece: take one piece from the inner circle.
Take 1 Brick from Another: take a regular brick or special piece from any other player.
Take 2 Bricks from Another: take two pieces, from one player or from two different players.
Helicopter spaces (START is one too): move to any other space and follow its directions.
You can only take pieces your model needs. If the space offers nothing you need, you lose that turn.
The first player to complete their model wins! (Original game: collecting every piece is enough.)
